College of dentistry and hospital clinicals

 

The College of Dentistry (COD) at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) is composed of the Department of Dentistry (DOD), the Institute of Oral Biology (IOB), and the Institute of Oral Tissue Engineering and Biomaterials (IOTEB). We aim to become the global center of education and research of oral medicine. The brand new clinics of Taipei-VGH provides a bright and inspiring environment of 113 dental chairs with profound subspecialties to train our students.

Our research teams are among the international key players in oral cancer biology, dental material science, tissue engineering, and brain imaging of oral functions, with academic publications in top-ranked journals, including the PNAS, Cancer Research, and Journal of Dental Research.

We are enthusiastic about global collaboration in research and education.  Conjoint with IAOMS in the 13th ACOMS 2018 in Taipei, Professor Shou-Yen Kao, congress president and president of Asian Association of OMS gave the opening remark to welcome about 1000 attendees and 130 guest speakers from more than 30 countries. In the opening ceremony, Vice president of ROC Dr. Chen encouraged our society and young generations to engage in translation research and clinical innovation. Our faculty actively participate the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) as invited speakers and lead the Association for Dental Education Asia Pacific (ADEAP).
